Tony & Melissa Rorie Founder, Executive Director
Tony Rorie is the founder of the Men of Honor. He began the program while working as an administrator and then Principal of a public school with over 1,000 students in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas, TX. Hundreds of young people have been saved and discipled through the program.
Tony is a veteran youth pastor, school administrator and motivational speaker with a passion for uniting the hearts of children with their parents and leaders.
Tony has a Bachelor’s Degree from Letourneau University.
He is an author and motivational speaker whose works include "Raise Sons: God’s Strategy for Reaching Generation Next” and “The Quest: Becoming a Man of Honor”.
He and Melissa have been special guests on national television programs and received critical acclaim for their work with youth and have also been chosen as the Boys Clubs and Girls Club of America featured alumni in the Club Life Newsletter.
Tony and Melissa live in Dallas, TX and have been married for over 20 years. They have three children; Lauren, Daniel and Rachel who are involved in the work of the ministry alongside him.
Tony conducts camps, travels, and speaks in churches and at men’s retreats challenging men to father the next generation. |
Dwayne K. Pickett, Sr., Ph.D. Executive Director - African American Development
Dwayne K. Pickett, Sr. is a native of Itta Bena, Mississippi. Pastor Pickett is married to Dr. Tracy Evans of Laurel, Mississippi. He is the proud father of five sons: Julian, Kendedrick, Malcolm, Dwayne, Jr., and Keishun.
Pastor Pickett earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in May 1994 and a Master of Education in Administration in May 1995 from the University of Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg, MS). He later obtained a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson, MS) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Seminary. In February 2010, Pastor Pickett was commissioned by the Christian Men’s Network to train men worldwide.
Pastor Pickett is a veteran of the Army National Guard and served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield from September, 1990 to December, 1991. Additionally, he is a former Assistant Principal for Brinkley Middle School.
Pastor Pickett also served a number of years as the Executive Director of the General Missionary Baptist State Convention Youth Department and the Director of Christian Education for the Southern Regional Youth Conference. Currently, he is serving as the illustrious Senior Pastor of New Jerusalem Church (Jackson, MS). |
